Mapping Coffee Tree Fertilizer Requirements in Côte d’Ivoire

چکیده
Coffee production in Côte d'Ivoire has been declining sharply for more than twenty years due to degradation soil fertility status. The objective of this study was map the mineral requirements coffee trees different regions and recommend immediate long-term intervention strategies management. In study, diagnosis chemical needs 156 samples from major areas used. We used a diagnostic model specific fertilization combined with geographic information systems (GIS). combination fertilizer formulas model, recent climatic data units growing allowed elaboration thematic showing total five basic (N-P2O5-K2O-CaO-MgO) adapted real nutritional according their agropedoclimatic environments. Two these cover 90% area studied. This will enable appropriate management sustainable productivity d'Ivoire.

Response of Highbush Blueberry to Nitrogen Fertilizer during Field Establishment—II. Plant Nutrient Requirements in Relation to Nitrogen Fertilizer Supply
A study was done to determine the macroand micronutrient requirements of young northern highbush blueberry plants (Vaccinium corymbosum L. ‘Bluecrop’) during the first 2 years of establishment and to examine how these requirements were affected by the amount of nitrogen (N) fertilizer applied. The plants were spaced 1.2 · 3.0 m apart and fertilized with 0, 50, or 100 kg ha of N, 35 kg ha of pho...

In a coffee plantation of a coffee 'Acaiá' cultivar (Coffea arabica), on the Midwest of Minas Gerais in Capitólio city, a different kind of coffee tree was found (1989), possibly due to a mutation. It presented larger leaves and grains than those of conventional coffee trees and was named as "Big Coffee VL." The aim of this study was to estimate the genetic diversity of Big Coffee VL progenies ...
متن کاملThe 15N isotope to evaluate fertilizer nitrogen absorption efficiency by the coffee plant.
The use of the 15N label for agronomic research involving nitrogen (N) cycling and the fate of fertilizer-N is well established, however, in the case of long term experimentation with perennial crops like citrus, coffee and rubber tree, there are still shortcomings mainly due to large plant size, sampling procedures, detection levels and interferences on the system. This report tries to contrib...
متن کاملNitrogen Use Efficiency of Coffee at the Vegetative Stage as Influenced by Fertilizer Application Method
Nitrogen (N) is the most limiting nutrient for coffee production in Colombia. An adequate supply is especially important during the vegetative period of growth, since any deficiency during this short period is known to have lasting effects on subsequent coffee bean production. Urea fertilizer is commonly applied on the soil surface since steep slopes hamper incorporation into soil, a practice w...
